STA Panel: Leveraging Technology (Telemedicine and Remote Monitoring) in Perioperative Care During a Global Crisis

The Society for Technology in Anesthesia presents an expert panel to discuss the role of technology in facilitating telemedicine during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Jonathan Wanderer will discuss a framework for preoperative evaluation clinics via telemedicine. Dr. Surgenor will present tele-ICU applications used for the acute management of COVID-19 patients throughout the pandemic, from the early days to the present. Lastly, Dr. Kuck will discuss innovations in mechanical ventilation, focusing on remote monitoring and the remote control of mechanical ventilators.
